Find a Licensed Acupuncturist
Find a Licensed Acupuncturist in your area approved by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). NCCAOM administers the national board exams that the vast majority of states in the US require for licensure.
Oregon College of Oriental Medicine Clinic
The OCOM clinic offers low cost health care to Portland. You can receive individual acupuncture treatments or group seated acupuncture for an extremely reasonable rate. Herbal consultations are also available.
Perhaps best of all, the OCOM clinic offers affordable shiatsu (a Japanese form of massage) and tuina (a Chinese form of massage and physical therapy) bodywork for currently only $22 a session. You can’t beat that price anywhere!
Community Acupuncture
Are you looking for affordable acupuncture in your area? The Community Acupuncture model is becoming popular and offers an inexpensive way for uninsured or low income people to receive acupuncture. The idea is that people are treated in a group setting using points mostly accessible on the hands, arms, feet and lower legs. Visit the Community Acupuncture Network’s site to locate a clinic near you.
